1 OF SEVERAL PHOTOS TAKEN OF RED OBJECT. OBJECT COULD BE “LENS FLARE.”
Description: My girlfriend runs early every morning and around 5 AM she captured this red object near the moon.
Note: It is not known if the witness saw the object or only discovered it when viewing the photos. The report was received “second-hand.” We are trying to find out if the witness actually saw the object. Updates will be posted. Initially our impression is that the object is not real and is a reflection of the moon on the camera lens producing a “ghosting” or lens flare.
Update – Dec 18, 2013 – Additional Information Received From Witness: She didn’t see the red light. It was only noticed in the photo.
