White-Bluish Fireball Falls Across Sky at 25 Degree Angle.

Location of Sighting: Helena, Montana
Date of Sighting: June 24, 2012
Time of Sighting: 10:34 PM MDT

Description: We saw a fireball (meteor) falling across the sky at about a 25 degree angle. It was white and bluish in color with a long trail behind of the same color. I thought it odd that the color wasn’t reddish. I was very bright. It looked to be traveling in a northerly direction. I have not seen anything like it before. It was about 1,000 feet above us and several miles away from our location and descended behind a hill so sight was lost. Given the distance away from us and the height it would have to have been something large. We are camp hosts in a campground in the mountains along the Missouri River. We were just returning to our site when we spotted it. Given the descent line we only had it in view for a few seconds. It was very bright. It was a white-bluish bright. It looked like a very bright, fast moving star.
